  • Title: Bestowing Middle and Last Names upon Bonzo the Chimp, official mascot of Bonzo Finance

Main Paragraphs

  • Summary: While our mascot is currently known only by the mononym “Bonzo,” this proposal seeks to grant him the full legal name of Bonzo Bartholomew Bullrun. This three-part name is designed to reflect his heritage, his sophistication, and our collective hope for permanent green candles.
  • Abstract: We propose that all official documentation, smart contract comments, and marketing materials be updated to reflect the mascot’s full name: Bonzo B. Bullrun. The “Bartholomew” adds a layer of vintage prestige, while “Bullrun” serves as a constant, subtle manifestation of market sentiment for the protocol’s lending pools.
  • Motivation: A single name is for pop stars. A lending protocol mascot requires the weight of a full name to truly command respect. By establishing “Bullrun” as his surname, we are effectively coding optimism into the very identity of the platform.
  • Specification & Rationale: The middle name Bartholomew was chosen for its rhythmic flow and because it sounds like someone who owns several Patek Philippe Calatrava watches and a Lamborghini Miura. The surname Bullrun is a tactical branding move to ensure that whenever users discuss the mascot, they are subconsciously prompted to think about upward price action.
  • Benefits (Pros):
    • Provides the mascot with a more “investable” and “distinguished” aura.
    • Enables the creation of “Bullrun” family lore (e.g., his cousin, Bearish Barry, who is not invited to Thanksgiving dinner).
    • Greatly improves the protocol’s “Sophistication Score”.
  • Downside (Cons): Potential disadvantages.
    • The community might find “Bartholomew” too difficult to spell during heated Discord debates.
    • The last name “Bullrun” might be awkward to explain during a market correction.
  • Voting: Define the voting options and what they entail.
    • Yes: I support the rise of Bonzo Bartholomew Bullrun.
    • No: I prefer my chimps with only one name and no social standing.

I would vote strongly against giving Bonzo the Chimp a surname unless absolutely required for regulatory KYC/AML reasons. A true chimp needs no surname, it needs to have the image of being primal and inevitable rather than being typecast as a chimp wearing a fancy suit and a monocle. also attaching “bullrun” directly to the mascot’s legal identity is spiritually identical to naming a ship “unsinkable.”

if we absolutely have to, I would recommend the middle name be “The” and the last name being “Chimp”

We hear your concerns on the ‘unsinkable’ jinx. If the markets go south, we can legally change his surname to ‘Bonzo B. BuyTheDip’.

I’d vote no. Just plain Bonzo works perfectly fine for our chimp. No need to make the name harder to say, market, and type. K.I.S.S. principle applies here. Besides, there are already other triple B’s out there. Better Business Bureau. Big Burberry Belt. Let Bonzo remain Bonzo!
